When the cat's away....

Wraith has vanished for a year. When she finally returns to New Orleans, the criminals are back to "business as usual". Without ISO-1 to control the area, the Russian mob-otherwise known as the Vory-has moved in and taken over the city....

Literally.

Now, Madi, Krisan, and her other allies must battle the supervillains of the Vory and the misguided superhero, Seraph, while also protecting a family the Vory have kidnapped from Argentina.

With everyone trying to kill her, Madi needs to be more than a vigilante - she needs to become the top of the Big Easy's food chain.

Or someone else will.

This one was really fun and action packed. Definitely felt there was more story here so I hope we see more of these great characters.

Great book

If this is the last book in the series it left a lot of unanswered questions not just series overall questions but ones from this book specifically. I went back twice to make sure I did not miss an epilogue. Now I am left wondering about major plot points. Maybe his plan is to answer these elsewhere?

Abrupt end to a wonderful series?

This one felt a little different in its approach to the characters but I love this Haskellverse the author has going.
These Wraith books are good but violent. They are not for little kids but are still not offensive. The author walks a fine line line between gritty and appropriate and he does it well.

Another great Wraith story

Set after the end of the Full Metal Superhero series, this book has the Wraith returning to New Orleans some time after the kinetic strike that ended book 4 of this series.

The disconnect in continuity between this book and the rest of the series does make this one of the weaker books for me. It lacks the compelling plot throughline, which lowers the impact.

That said, the writing is very good, with tight pacing and high stakes.

Overall, the series is among the best superhero novel series I've read. Highly recommended.

Strong Superhero Fiction

I can’t believe this series is over. I’ve tried listening to other books but Haskell and did not vibe with them. I’ll try again because this ‘THE WRAITH’ series is 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 !!!! Of course I will repeat the series. I just think HASKELL SHOULD CONTINUE WITH WHAT IS HIS BEST WORK! btw- I’m reading ARSENAL but I don’t like the voice actor. Please write another THE WRAITH book!

Not Enough!
