Way too much packed into a single story

I never thought I would say this, but I actually missed Gertrude Grover in this story. She is my least favorite character but she and she would have helped to break up the monotony of this story.
There were way too many things going on in this story and when I took a break I had I often had to relisten to the chapter before.
There were too many new characters with meaningless sub plots and it was just too much.

Would you listen to The Wurst Is Yet to Come again? Why?

I rarely read a book twice, so probably not. But I am glad I read it. For those of us from the Pacific Northwest, "Little Bavaria" sounds a lot like Leavenworth, WA. What a hoot.

Would you try another book from Mary Daheim and/or Lindsay Ellison?

probably not, i don't particularly like the detectives in this story. I found this very hard to keep my mind on. I have been listening to books for years and this book could not hold my attention. i found the people and plot annoying. Sorry it just wasn't for me

I enjoy these books as a light read .I read them inbetween mysteries that require all of my attention. Yes I would recomend this to some of my friends.

She puts emotion into the characters.

This was a book that didn't put pressure to listen in one sitting or break it into several sittings.

The title says it all. What you would expect from this series. Light hearted somewhat predictable but not a book you would recommend to others.
