Many people want to use the young champion of the great Raven clan for their own agenda.

Yang is given a choice without a choice. Having survived the deadly trials at the Lion Academy, he is thrown into a new hell. From now on, he is a member of the Night Guard—the hated masters of low warfare.

Together with his new companion, he learns more about life in the Jade Empire and continues his ascent to the heights of power.

So far I have enjoyed all three books and will definitely be buying the fourth. I’d recommend this series.

Honestly i liked the first book, not so much the second, but this is a great third book in the series. It has alot of action way more to the world building. The mc uses his martial arts knowledge a bit more. I found this book so much more than the second book. Should have gotten the whole series on discount when i had the chance.

What a good book. Does the first book justice.

I'm getting tired of hearing how much it he hates running. it's weird that I feel like nothing happens in these books

it's all right

This whole book is like the first half of a good book. It’s Learly travel montage with a couple fights, training, montage, and then start to apply the story hook. We don’t get the story hook. it ends right there.
There’s a character building world building, but a total absence of story building.

This is half a book
