The First Self Help Book that I Recommend

This is a must read if you are feeling like you are stuck in a life that no longer appeals to you. Some of the concepts may seem strange at first, but I promise you, if you practice what Hill preaches, it will have a positive impact on your life. You don't have to have a desire to get rich either, you can apply this book to any desire. Good luck and I hope the best things happen to you!

Brilliant, simple, accurate.
For sure one must ignore the dated language, particularly around gender. But the content is frankly remarkably relevant almost a century later!

From Another Time

This book could be renamed the White American Man's Guide to Growing Rich, because it is written for white men to be certain. There are plenty of bigoted and sexists comments including the mention of how a wife not being sexually capable may be the underlying cause of a man not being successful despite his efforts. The concepts in the book are broad claims that are not founded in science or any form of evidence, and have certainly not withstood the test of time.
