War changes a man. Rhett Allen, a thirdborn from the New World, learned that the hard way.

He went to the Old World with two simple jobs: protect his sister, and build his guild. Now, he’s found himself on the losing side of a battle, and on the precipice of a war that could engulf an entire empire. To make matters worse, the only way he survived was by making a deal with the prince who started the whole thing. Add in a goddess of death and chaos, and Rhett has found himself making life or death decisions usually reserved for much more powerful firstborns.

All Rhett wants to do is go back to Penn, but old and new enemies await him on his journey. Magic still runs the world, and he’s going to need to get stronger if he wants to survive. Thankfully, he’s got a few good women at his side to help him along the way. Rhett might not know it yet, but even a thirdborn can be the difference between victory and defeat.

Thirdborn 2 is intended for adult listeners due to adult situations, strong language, violence, and harem elements. You've been warned.

when it comes to a sequel I'm looking for everything that made the first book worth listening to and then some. this book starts off at the bitter ending of the last. I do tend to take it easy on the first book of the new series. I like the first book well enough even if I didn't care for the ending. this book started off a little slow in my opinion but picked up relatively quickly. I enjoyed the story throughout, but the final third of the book is where it really shined for me. things have only gotten started if the endings anything to go by. I'm looking forward to book three getting the audio treatment. the narration team has done a fantastic job. as of the time of this review book 3 is already out and available in ebook form. fingers crossed that we don't have to wait too long for the audio. with that I'll say Well done to everybody who had a hand and bringing this book to us, the audiobook listeners.

I love this series and so far it hasn’t disappointed at all. The performance is spot on and everything is tying in seamlessly. I really can’t wait for the next one.

Epic story so far

The story is a fantastic continuation of the first, beautifully expanding the alternate history. Characters seem real and their interactions are wonderful.

The narration probably needed more QA before going out. Lots of edits, strange pauses etc.

Great Story with some narration trouble
