The essential beliefs of the Christian faith are those which are the sine qua non (literally, “without which nothing”), that if missing or denied Christianity ceases to be genuine biblical apostolic Christianity. The doctrines in this book are those developed by the early church—the long-standing historic essentials—and other doctrines developed over the long history of the church in response to false teachings. There are a few that are a response to worldly culture and values invading—infecting—the New Testament church. This work is a concise and relatively non-technical presentation of what I believe are the essential doctrines every believer in Christ as Savior should believe, understand, and profess.
