I HAD AN AWEFUL TIME FOLLING THIS STORY

IT WASN'T WRITTEN WELL FOR ME. I LISTEN TO MANY,MANY, WESTERN AND THIS ONE DIDN'T EVEN SOUNDED LIKE A WESTERN.

I loved it!!

This was such a good book! The prose, characters, and background were all so well written. And the narrator did an excellent job.
I simply wish Jo Goodman had another dozen books just like this one, ready to go.

Wonderful Book

What aspect of Tom Zingarelli’s performance would you have changed?

Mr. Zingarelli's rendition of the heroine was less than desirable.

Any additional comments?

This is my first Jo Goodman novel and I enjoyed the story immensely. I will be looking into and indulging in her back list for the foreseeable future. The only downside was the narrator's portrayal of any female character. The heroine's voice comes out entirely too whiny for our no-nonsense heroine. I ended up having to read the last half the traditional way.

great story.

this was a great book. however, the. narrators voice made me imagine Quill and Calico as an old couple.. once you get past that, its pretty enjoyable.

Needed female voice

Written really well but needed a female voice for Calico. She sounded like an old woman. Story was really good though
