And Isa's privileged private-school life - with her dad losing his job and her older brother struggling with mental illness - is falling apart. Not that she'd ever tell that to Alex.

Great reading (and listening) escape!

I'd really loved WATER IN MAY so was looking forward to Ismee Williams' next YA novel. I was not disappointed. I bought the book and the audiobook for THIS TRAIN IS BEING HELD. The story drew me in–I couldn't put it down. It even made me forget about everything that's going on in the world today. With small kids at home, it ended up being easier to listen rather than read a book! And the voices of the actors who read for Alex and Isa are fantastic. They really brought the characters to life. Five-star recommendation!

Loved it!

It’s one of these books that’s hard to put down but you don’t want it to end. I was hooked right away. The characters were so real and the way the author describes NYC I felt I was right there with them.
