Terrorism in the dynamic 21st century. An ex-assassin comes out of retirement to help an old friend, only to find himself embroiled in a bitter battle against well equipped terrorists intent on destroying the City of London. Tracing them to their accumulated arms dump, the assassin and friend take on the terrorists in an attempt to halt the wider destruction. Barely escaping with his life, and losing his friend, the assassin does not know the terrorists have put a contract on his head ... but meets up with a mysterious Russian and Syrian. They join forces but are soon tracked by a group of mercenaries out to claim a large bounty. This is a story of sheer desperation, charting the demise of IS, and an insight into what can be beneath the fragile veneer of civilisation as a battle rages between those who want to destroy and those who want to preserve. Here, the strangest of allies merge together as a powerful fighting force to display the commonality of the struggle of good against evil that flows across borders, gaining support ... and all beneath the surface while above the surface ... the mass of the public go on about their daily lives blissfully unaware of the war raging.
