What is thought? The Cambridge dictionary defines thought as the act of thinking about or considering, an idea or opinion, or a set of ideas about a particular subject.
Synonyms for “thought” include idea, conception, concept, impression, notion, deliberation, and reflection.
The Bible says God’s thoughts are nothing like man’s thoughts. God’s thoughts are righteous and holy. Mankind’s thoughts tend to be evil. Our thoughts are the precursors of our actions whether these thoughts be good or evil.
We become what we think about. If we dwell on negative thoughts, our whole attitude becomes negative. If we dwell on positive thoughts, our attitude becomes positive.
This is based on the scripture found in the Bible in the book of Proverbs chapter 23 verse 7. “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
If you think mostly negative thoughts, you will become a very unhappy and sad person. If you think mostly positive thoughts, you’ll be happy and smiling despite any negative circumstances that enter your life.
Thoughts have power. If you believe you can do something, you usually can. If you believe you can’t do something, you usually can’t.
Change your thoughts, and you will change your world.
Thoughts are the source or beginning of all things.

My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
(Isaiah 55:8, NLT, emphasis added)
