Romantic Comedy

This is a modern day Romantic Comedy version of Aladdin and the lamp. An antique dealer is in love with the governor's girlfriend and doesn't know for a few days that he releases a genie from a magic lamp he found and also the carpet.

Delightfully romantic

The narrator did a wonderful job with the various characters and accents.
I’d say this was a mystery romance as well. You think you know where things are headed but then it takes a turn. However the ending will surprise and delight you.
Things get a little steamy but only briefly!

Cute twist on a classic

A fun read with distinct characters.
Obligatory sex scene was unnecessary & didn't fit the rest of the story.
Ended a bit abruptly, but overall a light twist on an old tale.

It started out good...

I enjoyed most of this book. Half of chapter 13 could have been omitted and it would have made the book so much better.
