Whatever it takes. As long as it takes.

Ethan Wolf has always been the man behind the screens, but now he’d been chosen and meticulously trained by the mastermind who designed Guardian Security’s state-of-the-art systems. Cool under pressure and brilliant with technology, Ethan is the last line of defense in a world where the smallest vulnerability can bring empires to their knees. But when the chaos shifts from digital threats to real-world danger, he finds himself facing a challenge he never expected—one that involves his heart.

Star Peterson is an absolute magnet for trouble. A lovable klutz with a knack for getting herself into impossible situations, she has always been able to laugh at her mishaps—until one misstep puts her in over her head. Ethan has been her friend and protector, but as the danger intensifies, so does their undeniable connection.

As Ethan fights to pull Star out of a deadly situation, their bond deepens, transforming from friendship into something far more powerful. But can he protect her from a threat that seems determined to drag her back into harm’s way? With the world’s most advanced technology at his fingertips, Ethan is used to having control—except when it comes to his feelings for Star.

From the USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of The Kings of Guardian®, Guardian Defenders®, and Guardian Security Shadow World® comes the next chapter in the epic Guardian Security Dynasty saga. Prepare for action, suspense, and a love that will change everything.

I have read and listened to all the Guardian and related books by Kris Michaels. The whole series, and related series, is very interesting. Some books aren’t as interesting to me, but others are outstanding . Out of them all, the books Lycos and Throne of Secrets are my favorites, so far. Lycos, Ryan Wolf, is Ethan Wolf’s adoptive father.

Throne of Secrets is humorous and Star is a klutz and anything that can happen usually does around her. Lycos is featured in the story and Ethan finally finds out who his mentor is (we’ve met him in his own story previously).

Matt Haynes narrates the whole series (which I wish more authors would do), which makes them very cohesive. His narration has matured and developed throughout the series ? His various voice renditions are very well done, and he is the best narrator I have ever listened to.

I recommend reading or listening to (or both) the entire series.

Was an awesome story

Deadly serious situations with moments of hilarity. Star is a walking calamity who unknowingly walks into danger.

I actually loved this more comedic version of a Kris Michaels book, it had all the feels, romance ✅mystery ✅action ✅comedy ✅with some spice thrown in it was a great palate cleanser, and a visit or two of one of my favorite characters Lycos 💅

Mystery with a side of slapstick comedy

I needed this one. It had everything I didn’t know I needed. From the very beginning I couldn’t stop chuckling over the hilarious antics that happen. So endearingly hilarious. Enjoyed this one. Great Narration. Love Kris Michaels stories!

Loved it!

Was a good book as all of Kris’s are. For some reason Ethan and Star’s story didn’t grab me like the 2 previous ones in this series.

Good book
