Great suspense!

Tara was raised by her maternal grandmother, never knowing her father’s family. Imagine her luck, sort of, when she comes across the body of a woman while on a photoshoot, and learns that her father’s brother is a lieutenant in charge of major crimes. Another twist of fate finds Tara entangled with the suspect in the case. Meanwhile, it appears that someone doesn’t want her snooping around and may even want her dead.
Really enjoyed the writing of the new-to-me author duo. Story was well written with lots of intrigue, some romance and the killer is a complete surprise. Looking forward to more work from this team.
Narration was also stellar and brought the characters to life.
