Unbelievable story of determination and self belief

I didn’t expect to be so flabbergasted by this story.
Dr. Kong’s work in the stem cell field is what brought me here, but her life story goes way deeper, and truly embodies the American Dream.
Lots of wisdom, life lessons, and love - just incredible.

I like the fact that this story is read by the author because the story itself is so personal. I hope this is not a “spoiler”, but just knowing where this character finally ended up even makes the script better!

Interesting story of one young Chinese woman’s journey to get to an education in America. Her stubborn determination enabled her to beat difficult odds to not only get an education but to become a very successful doctor and business woman.

Dr. Kong bravely shines a light into the shadows of self doubt, abuse of power, and the dogmatic adherence to arcane rules of broken systems and ideologies in society, academia, psychology and medicine. Easy and empowering read. Highly recommended

This story is an authentic and powerful human experience narrated by a spiritual being. It’s deserving of a Netflix series.
