I you like Michael Chricton...

...you'll love this! It's a classic sci-fi time travel thriller with a cool "bomber crew" cast pitting themselves against the ancient world with just their wits plus a few special skills. A real page turner.

An unexpected pleasure

I normally don't care for LitRpg but this does just subtly enough that the elements add to the story not distract from it. The characters are great the story is amazing and the narrator is top notch

Definitely Credit Worthy!

This is a new author & narrator for me. I found this book on the 2 for 1 sale in the US. Great character development and storyline. The narrator did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life & the battle scenes. It really makes you fall in love with the characters. I'm bummed it's over. I think there's another book coming 🎉

Love the idea of different races

Loved the connection to ancient Egypt. This was a fun story and cannot wait to read the next.

Archaeological adventure that makes my inner 12-year old jump for joy.

Incredibly fun romp through ancient Africa. Rothman and Butler understand fun as surely as they understand ancient languages. The tropes of a GameLit Isekai are there, but dressed up in gloriously grounded characters and world building. More than that, they capture wonderfully the mysticism and sense of wonder that comes with deep dives into the ancient world. I can't wait for the sequel.

My only nitpicks are that the narrator's accents were sometimes hard to understand. And I'd appreciate a slight pause between shifts in POV. The immediacy with which they occurred made it really hard to follow sometimes.
