A Second Chance at Love Rom Com

Myra wasn’t expecting to get divorced. She also wasn’t planning to book a flight to the Montana mountains to teach herself to ski. But after three glasses of wine—maybe it was four?—and her newly purchased just-for-me underwear, she embarks on her solo ski trip.

There’s just one minor issue, and he’s ten years younger.

Lincoln and his avalanche dog, Otto, moved back to patrol the mountains he grew up skiing. It wasn’t his first choice, but he’s on a different journey now. One he thought would be easier to navigate on and off the slopes than waiting for a stork-delivered girlfriend to drop from the sky. Instead, she rammed into him.

Running into each other had its perks. She now had a fake boyfriend to prove she was definitely not in a divorce-life-crisis. She was, but would rather give up her beloved Gilmore Girls DVD set before admitting it. He just wanted to bring a woman home to impress his family. If only it wasn’t so easy to fake it.

But Myra’s second chance at love and Lincoln’s crash course in speaking his mind might come with more bumps than getting off the chair lift.

Laugh out loud moments and lovable characters

Tips Up made me laugh out loud to myself multiple times. Myra is a likeable, relatable FMC, and Lincoln is a lovable golden retriever.

I loved that there was no third-act breakup and the focus on Myra’s growth and acceptance of herself following her divorce.

I listened to the audio and the narrator was fantastic!

Absolutely adore this story and these characters!

If you like a winter romcom, then please read this book! It’s filled with Christina’s signature humor that had me cackling the entire time. It’s reverse age gap—Myra meets hottie ski patroller Linc on her self discovery trip to Bozeman after signing divorce papers.

Myra was vibrant and full of life until her dud of an ex husband made her feel small until she no longer recognized herself.

Linc may be younger, but he’s an old soul at heart. He cooks, cleans, and communicates directly—is there anything sexier??

Frankie is the brother I wish I had, and Otto is the goodest dog ever.

I absolutely adore this story and these characters!!!

Humor

Book was great. I loved the small bits of humor in this book. It was a fast read, which I enjoyed. This author is stopping in online for our book club! I cannot wait to read more of her books!
