Such A Sweet Romance

This was a sweet tale that made me want to keep reading on. I liked Kayla and Ben and thought that as a couple they were perfectly matched. Ben's mother was atrocious! I wanted to jump into the book and tell her off. One thing that makes this a 5 star review is that Ben stood up to his mother, he put Kayla first and to me that was everything!! I kept calling Sarah a meddling mother in law and wished that she'd put her child's happiness before her own outlandish opinions. I felt positively protective towards Kayla as her plight with her would be in laws definitely stroked a chord for me. Ben's father was so much more likable! I was thrilled by how well he treated her. She earned his trust. Can I just take a moment to fangirl over the fact that Audrey is in this as is her hotel!? I kinda gave a huge whoop to that!! I really like this series and can't wait to discover the next book's characters!!

Sweet Historical Romance

Book two was very enjoyable, but there were some situations and feelings that were fairly redundant and started to wear on me. I thought the narration was much better in this book.
I wondered as I was listening to this book how authors can write the lines and situations of bad guys! It must be emotionally draining to be their nasty voice for those scenes!
