Such a good book

I listen to some pretty long and deep stuff. This book just stole my heart. I'm so glad I chose it as a break from my other ones. I love Betty White and it was wonderful hearing her voice read this. I'll read this one again.

Great animal story

Great story. Loved hearing about the partnership of dogs with their humans. Author described their bond beautifully.

Just lovely

This book was sooo lovely to read. I loved that Betty White was one of the two narrators. It was so excellent to hear her sweet voice again! This book is quite engaging and I love that half of the chapters are told through the dog's point of view. It adds a nice layer of depth to the story. This is a triumphant story of growth, an understandably emotional journey, and a lovely telling of the bond one can have with a dog in your time of need.

My only qualm was that for many chapters, there was background noise just before the narrators were speaking. At a few points, while Tom Sullivan was narrating, I could hear a woman reciting the words just before he started to do the same, which was a bit distracting. Luckily, it was not for the whole book, which I am very glad about.
