Two of the greatest heroes in children's literature, Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, join forces in this classic tale from master storyteller Mark Twain. Tom and Huck are kidnapped by a mad scientist in a balloon-powered airship who plans to fly around the world then crash in flames - taking the boys with him. But when the madman falls overboard during a storm over the Atlantic Ocean, the youngsters are forced to use all their wits to save themselves from further perils aboard the runaway airship.Public Domain (P)1996 Recorded Books, Inc. The story was going along pretty well, but was truncated about halfway through. The reader sounded really drunk most the time. It was almost a really great story, but apparently ol Sam got was drunk while writing it and got too tired right in the middle and crashed it before it was finished.

Twain must have written this when he was drunk

the narrating worked well for the story. the chapters are not marked properly. "chapters 3" on audibe has many chapters bunched inside it. This is bothersome when trying to listed ton chapter 8 and having to go through the "chapter 3 or 4" tittled marker that also contains chapter 8

good narrating, unorganized chapters

Not nearly as in depth as the two more know works, but all the charm and wit just the same. It's a read you could do in a commute or two.

Pretty good, quick read.
