A poor woodman and his wife wish desperately for a little child. And that's just what they get: a boy as big as a thumb. Despite his size, Tom Thumb still causes plenty of mischief. Laura Paton is an audiobook pro. Known for performing classic stories, Paton handles well technical aspects like diction and pacing. In these stories, designed for little listeners, she has fun too with well-done dramatic voices. Clearly, the Brothers Grimm stories do not grow old, as they have delighted generations of listeners. So, whether it is the first time or the tenth time meeting Tom Thumb, the adventure is still a joy.
