Every Saturday 6-year-old Tommy went to the lab with his mother. He learned all about the testing of food ingredients as well as the equipment used to do that type of work. Over the years, he understood the basics of safely handling and storing food. He observed procedures for testing foods and the raw ingredients that went into them. In his adult years, he still remembers what he learned and uses this information every day.
