I must confess that I am a huge fan of Jessica Threet's voice. Even if she were to read a medical encyclopedia, I would still rate it highly. However, hearing her narrate the conclusion to a steamy version of Mass Effect is an experience that everyone should have.

That being said, this book differs from the others in the series, and I believe it's better for it. To continue the video-game analogy, up until now, the books had a "collect X of type Y" feel to them. Although they were still excellent, it wasn't until this book that it felt like you were finishing up the last few story missions. The frantic pace has slowed down, which added depth to the story. Characters had time for trivial conversations, making them feel more human and less like a fictional creation.

I cannot discuss the plot without spoiling it, but it's an experience you need to have for yourself. It includes space battles, the return of previous characters, and the fate of humanity on the line.

As it is a space harem book by Dan Raxor, there are some explicit situations. However, they are well-written, and Jessica's narration is superb.

That said, this is a book that absolutely needs to be listened to AFTER reading/listening to the first 2. Without the story its going to be nothing but confusion.

Worth it for Jessica Alone

Its like Mass Effect 3, but with more sex and a less controversial ending. Jessica Threet kills it as always. Highly recommend.

This was an exceptional episode. There were space flights and fights, planetary dungeons, and funny sexy times. I think this was the best episode yet. Finding a hungover, sunburned, nude, hottie ex-lover on an uninhabited planet early in the book really sets the tone. The book only got better from there. I really need more of this series faster. You hear that Dan Raxor!

I received a free code for this audiobook in exchange for an early and honest review. I would have Whyspersynced this audiobook anyway but free is good too.

Luv this series!

While this installment doesn’t have the action that the other two did, it more than makes up for it in other ways. Definitely didn’t go in the direction I thought, but still thoroughly enjoying every minute of it.
