This book will help you prepare European Union (EU) knowledge tests for any competition or selection procedures, especially those organised by the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) or other EU agencies and bodies, to get a job in the EU institutions.

It contains: an explanation about the concept, objectives, background and evolution of the European Union; a compilation of main data on its institutions, agencies and bodies; a study guide on all relevant EU policies, as well as the category of competences regarding policy areas; and the EU financing programmes. We have always kept in mind the matters that are asked most frequently in exams. In addition, it includes three exercises with 90 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) to facilitate your review and training.

All this from the personal and professional experience of a successful candidate in numerous tests designed by EPSO and other EU agencies (computer-based tests, intermediate tests, case studies and assessment centre interviews), being an official at the public administration in Spain and having held several positions as a Head of Unit from 2009 to the present, mostly in the areas of human resources, finance, programme management, law enforcement, competition and general administration.

He has also worked as a national expert at the European Commission, gaining additional experience on communication and political affairs at the EU level, provided training to civil servants and coached many candidates for open competitions (reasoning tests, 'talent screener', practical exercises and interviews), helping them improve their abilities and competencies.
