This is book three in the eight-part Terraway series, with characters based in Filipino folklore.

After days spent locked in King Geon's dungeon, October's afraid her sanity has reached the point of no return. With one of her Reapers deranged beyond reason, and the other permanently altered, October isn't sure how she'll be able to keep up with the famine that's run rampant throughout Terraway. With too many souls to reap, October's body starts to break down as she struggles to redeem the world that seems set on her destruction.

I hate to say it because I absolutely love Undraland but I can’t help but compare it to this story. There’s just too much similarity it feels like I’m in the same story. Von is exactly like Tucker, down to the accent and alcohol. Ezra and uncle Ric are the same fatherly figure. Some of the same phrases like pony, authors obsession with “perfect family” and the shtick that’s just so over done. Lucy’s thing was wanting a white picket fence, and now October is doing the whole “perfect Brady bunch family” wish with Von but it doesn’t feel real. At least Lucy and Jens were falling in love. I don’t feel any romance between October and Von. It feels more sibling vibes from them. And Mason and Foss are similar as well. I would say Danny has Foss’ tempter at least. And the plot of young damaged girl being forcefully taken to a magical world and their magical countries. I would rather reread Undraland another 1000th time (I literally have read that series hundreds of times by now) than read yet another series just like this one. The constant comparison to Undraland really takes me out of the story. No hate to the author btw. I LOVE Undraland and even emailed the author how much I loved it but I can’t stand the constant comparisons to Undraland. I wish it was more…. Original if that makes sense.

The same as Undraland
