In the small town of Petunia, Texas, A Christmas Carol is the annual holiday play. But some of the play’s Christmas magic might be happening in real life too.

After Harper catches Grayson kissing another woman, her heart shatters and so does her love for Christmas. Determined to leave the past behind, she buries herself in work and avoids everything that reminds her of the season she once cherished.
But when her grandmother asks for help with costumes for Petunia’s annual production of A Christmas Carol, Harper reluctantly returns home for the holidays.

Grayson never stopped loving Harper. The day she walked away was the day his plans and the proposal ring in his pocket lost their meaning. Now his grandmother has called him back to Petunia to help build the sets for the Christmas play, and he can only pray for the chance to explain what really happened.

As Harper works on the play, something unexpected happens. She sees the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future in real life. Unsure whether they are real or not, she has to admit that they are guiding her heart, reminding her of the love, forgiveness, and faith she’s in danger of losing.

In a town where church bells ring on Sunday mornings, neighbors look out for one another, and two determined grandmothers believe prayer can move mountains, Harper and Grayson keep crossing paths.
As the story of A Christmas Carol unfolds on stage, Harper determines to acknowledge what the ghosts have to say and trust God. It’s the only way she’s ever going to give Grayson a second chance and embrace the greatest gift of all: love.
