At birth, he was diagnosed with cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD), which is a rare genetic skeletal disorder that affects one in one million people. As such, Wayne does not have a collarbone, teeth, and his skull development and facial growth appears larger than normal. Countless medical professionals stated that he would not live beyond two years old. With each triumphant year, doctors advised his mother that he would not fully develop physically or mentally and ultimately fail at everyday life situations. Wayne’s faith in God showed him early on that failure was not an option. Wayne’s story demonstrates that for every tough blow, we have an innate ability to overcome societal and medical challenges.
