Brynne Weaver
From No.1 New York Times bestselling author Brynne Weaver comes a wickedly delicious new series where dark romantic comedy meets thrilling suspense - and where falling in love can be a killer 🌊🌹🔪💋
Welcome to Cape Carnage! Visit Once, Stay Forever.
You can hide in the farthest reaches of the deepest hell, and I will still drag you out. Even the devil can't save you from me.
Cape Carnage is a seaside town of colourful houses, quirky shops, and an unusually high body count. But with tourists comes trouble, and Harper Starling won't let anyone ruin her picture-perfect home. A skilled gardener with killer instincts, Harper protects her sanctuary at any cost. Troublesome tourists don't check out of Carnage. They compost beneath Harper's award-winning flowerbeds.
But Nolan Rhodes isn't your average tourist. Devilishly handsome, disarmingly charming, and skilled with a blade, Nolan is relentless in the pursuit of revenge. Every year, Nolan slays another target. And he's saved the best for last: the undeniably beautiful Harper Starling. The problem? Harper isn't the monster he expected. And she won't go down without a fight.
When an amateur true crime investigator comes to Cape Carnage on the trail of a long-lost serial killer, Harper and Nolan strike an uneasy truce. If Nolan helps Harper protect her town, she'll keep quiet about his hunting habits . . . for now. But their alliance soon spirals into obsession, one that threatens to shatter every secret in Carnage - including their fragile love.
Tourist Season is a darkly funny, slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance where destruction and desire are balanced on the edge of a blade - and where love is the most dangerous battleground of all.

Critic reviews
Tourist Season is everything I loved about the Ruinous Love Series and MORE - MORE murdery arts and crafts, MORE spice, MORE plot twists, MORE serial killers per capita than any town should ever have and I'm SO here for it
Hilarious, hot, and maniacally memorable! I'm obsessed with Brynne Weaver's one-of-a-kind brand of fun, sexy killers
A bloody ball meat of a good time! Weaver knows just how to carefully curate a romance you can't put down, from the deliciously hostile banter to an attraction you can't help but obsess over. I've taken permanent residence in Cape Carnage and feverishly anticipate the next season of murders
Brynne Weaver returns with another dark yet sweet and sexy romance - liberally spattered with body parts - crafting a fresh, funny tale in a way only she can. Full of heart, twists, and tender moments, Tourist Season delivers exactly what rabid fans of Weaver have come to love about her writing. I am obsessed
Brynne Weaver is a literary force unlike any other. Tourist Season is an evocative, suspenseful romance that will be sure to grip onto every reader's imagination and send their pulse skyrocketing. Filled with deliciously dark humour and slow-burn tension, Harper and Nolan's story was as decadent and twisted as it was human and raw. I had the time of my life reading Tourist Season and will forever read anything Brynne writes

The audiobook is brilliantly narrated by Samantha Brentmoor & Robert Hatchet. 100/10 performance.
Glad to hear Brynne too ❤️
Tropes:
Enemies to lovers
Grumpy x grumpy
Serial Killers
Touch them and 💀
Hidden identity
Small town
Spice 🌶️🌶️.5 (but the few scenes are high heat - Pain kink)
Content warnings
Murder with gory details
Body parts (Hands are clearly overrated)
Dementia disease (caregiver of one elderly person)
Harper is funny, fierce, and totally unhinged — the kind of woman who calls her woodchipper “Cookie Monster” and means it. Nolan’s out for revenge, scrapbooking his trauma and accidentally falling for the one woman who might actually kill him.
I couldn’t help but also fall for the important side characters:
Arthur & his grandson Lukas and Irene.
To summarize: it’s a story about a serial killer who is chased by a serial killer, while trying to protect a serial killer connected to another serial killer
Good luck with that.
Between murder kits, hot chocolate after grave-digging, and a small-town full of secrets, this story is dark, twisted, and weirdly romantic. ❤️
It ends on a little cliff (Nolan & Harper’s story ends but not the plots), giving you wanting the next book NOW.
WTF.
Chaotic, bloody, cute and addictive.
