Laboring in emergency rooms all around the country is a group of dedicated doctors and nurses who just want to make a difference. Some swear, some drink, and some laugh in order to manage their emotions while providing high-quality care in the most unimaginable, shocking, and difficult cases.

Among this group of highly skilled medical professionals is Goldie Fisher, a nurse who is completing her first week of orientation at a level one trauma center. As she immerses herself in the organized chaos she now calls work, Goldie must learn how to control her emotions while juggling a diverse caseload, each with a new challenge. While caring for patients battling mental health issues, drug addiction, car accident injuries, gunshot wounds, and many other ailments, Goldie soon learns to rely on her adrenaline, inner-strength, and perseverance to endure the wild ride that comes with life as an emergency room nurse.
