Traumatized: A Love Story is a memoir and trauma self-help book that weaves the raw tapestry of a life shaped by extraordinary trauma into a profound exploration of healing, resilience, and transformation. Through deeply personal stories—ranging from Michael's parents’ harrowing experience in the Pearl Harbor attack and subsequent suicide of his mother to the devastating homicide of his wife and decades spent under the shadow of suspicion. Michael invites listeners to journey with him from the depths of despair to the liberating light of post-traumatic healing. This book combines narrative storytelling with practical guidance, making it both an intimate memoir and a roadmap for others seeking to integrate personal and ancestral trauma.

Michael Stone delivers a difficult personal story from the perspective of complex childhood trauma and how it impacts a life. The childhood wounding is evocative and can be difficult to witness as a reader. However, Stone carries the reader through the rough and lonely waters of complex childhood trauma to the healing path he chooses over and over again. As he describes various stages of his life, he ends each chapter with reflections on trauma and offers education on healing childhood trauma. The writer tells an honest story of his challenges, his mistakes, his wake-up calls and ultimately, his soul's awakening. The final chapters reveal where the author finds himself today - a person in his wholeness with the capacity to teach and guide others. A lovely and unique book.
