Two Iraq war veterans, Rick and King, find the tortured body of King's sister in France. Already living a life of crime, they set out for revenge. Rick, however, is not so certain about this life. They were once honorable veterans of Iraq, now they have thrown society's concerns aside and gone off on their own. First it was crime, now it's murder. Rick's girlfriend, Coralie, wants him to stop. But how can he let his friend down? Torn between the two, between his past and his future, he must choose soon or else risk losing everything that matters in life. This novel dives into the dark hearts of men back from war. It's an honest psychological portrait of the violence that soldiers and nations have committed, and that can linger in their actions.
