My twin and I knew we were going home to strangers who would be living in our house. I tried to prepare myself, telling myself to be kind and polite. But what I wasn't prepared for was… her.

Bellamy Clark.

With her long, fiery red hair and the freckles that I couldn't stop staring at, her curious green eyes felt like they were peering straight into my soul. The first time I saw her, I had to remind myself to breathe.

Within hours of being under the same roof, I found myself wanting to run, though not for reasons I was willing to admit.

One horse ride. That's all it took. Her laughter, the way she teased me effortlessly… it burrowed deep under my skin, a feeling I couldn't shake. And before I knew it, I was forgetting every warning my dad had ever given me.

I didn't care how off-limits she was. I wanted her, every part of her, until I couldn't remember why I shouldn't.

For that summer, she was mine.

Until she decided, our parents would never accept us being together.

After all, we were step-siblings now.

Tropes: hockey romance; cowboy/cowgirl vibes; step-siblings; found family.

The narrators did these characters such justice! I’m so thoroughly impressed! This is one of my favorite couples in the series so to hear them brought to life was surreal!

FLAWLESS

I fell in love with Cash in the first book of the series. So I knew I would love his story. LA Shaw does a great job with this step sibling romance that is second chance college sports romance with some angst. I felt for these characters while reading this story.

Cash and Bellamy have the instant attraction but a bond that is formed through time and connection that is not easy to break. I loved the way these two were drawn to each other from the beginning. The bond they have is something that is not easily broken with time and distance. The way these two belonged together was written in the stars. Cash has this protective side that comes out only for Bellamy. Bellamy is trying to ignore the feelings she has to keep everyone happy. The way Bellamy put herself last through this book, kinda broke my heart. She deserved having the HEA with the love of her life. I am so glad that this book ended with a HEA for these two soulmates.

Aaron Shedlock and Alexis Paige can read to me anytime! They narrate this one in dual and both do a great job. I loved the way I was wrapped up in this story while listening. Both narrators hit the emotions just right in this one. Aaron is one of my go to narrators. I am always happy to listen to him.

Now let's see if I can hold out for the third book to come out in audio or if I will cave and read it. I am highly invested in these characters and them being happy.

Loved this Story and the Narrators

The story was so good. The narration was top notch, and the male’s voice sounded similar to Teddy Hamilton. I loved all the characters in the story. They each had so much depth and personality. They were all battling something, opening up and becoming vulnerable which leads to the deeper connections between them. And! Brings out more vulnerability in the bedroom. That foreplay was HOT!

Teddy Hamilton sound alike!
