Dull Performer

If you are looking for a book to fall asleep to - this is it! Performer managed to make an action-filled gun fight dull. First 2/3 of book is slow and a little dull. Good ending.

One of his best

I have read many of his books but I particularly enjoyed this one. Didn’t require a ton of effort to get into and doesn’t have a large amount of characters to keep track of. Plus the historical component made for a fascinating listen and one that never seemed to have a slow spot. Didn’t have me on the very edge of my seat like some of his previous works but on average kept my attention better than most of his other ones throughout The entirety of the book.

A great thriller.

Nail biting suspense almost to the end.

storyline.

As usual Follet paints a clear picture of events, keeps it interesting and makes it all flow seamlessly. Hard to put down.

The monotonous voice…

The boring, monotonous voice made me not care about the story. This book needs to be read by the person who bought it. There are 11 hrs and 46 minutes left and I give up
