Saving lives is Jonah Stem's job-but he usually does it at the hospital, not at 3 a.m. on the dark streets of Manhattan. When he impulsively intervenes to save a beautiful woman from a man menacing her with a knife, killing the attacker in the process, he is transformed from an overworked medical student to a hero in the media spotlight. The woman, Eve Gones, is profoundly grateful, and wants to show it. Before long, they're engaged in a wildly passionate love affair. An affair that Eve doesn't want to end. I consider Scott Brick to be the best reader of nearly every genre, but even he couldn't save this travesty. Endless, quite unnecessary description marred the writing from beginning to end. This story, which was totally unbvelievable, would have been a poor short story and was a horrible, waste-of-time novel. Save your money and your time.

Unlike his debut piece of garbage ("Sunstroke"), "Trouble" is an excellent book.

The characters really come to life and the story was very suspenseful and even gave me bad dreams (a good sign for me that the book was entertaining me).

In this story, writer Jesse Kellerman is a Robin Cook meets Dean Koontz meets Stephen King. Very compelling, convincing, and intellectual characters.

A nice variety of genres, including medicine, sociology, psychology, and horror.

Not sure why other Audible readers gave it poor reviews, but if Kellerman keeps producing books like "Trouble" and stays clear of poor writing like "Sunstroke," he will become a huge success!

Was on the edge of my seat til the very end!

This whole thing was too possible and too disturbing for me. It was not a good follow-up to "Me & Emma." After reading the first half, I was getting in such a bad mood that I finally skipped to the end. I guess that the fact that it disturbed me so much means that it was well done. BTW, this should be classified as "horror" and not as "psych suspense."

Too realistic for me.

Sad. the clay Edison series is great. this was awful. finally skipped to the end to see if anything meaningful would happen at all.

Dreadfully slow and obnoxious reader.

Needed editing. Keep repeating same behavior and I guess it was building suspense but for me it was getting tiring. First book I did not finish listening to. I have been hooked an audible books for over 5 years. Listen to about 3 a month. So for me not to finish is very unusual.
