Sometimes you find what you need in the most unlikely places....
Charlie Ryan’s cheating fiancé left her with a broken heart and even broker bank account. She’s hit rock bottom, but everything is about to change. Suddenly, she’s inherited a Montana farm named Tucked Away from a grandmother she never knew existed. A fresh start is just what she needs - and no men in her future this time, even if the local vet is as hot as a Montana summer.
Zack Cooper is content with his simple life. Running his veterinary practice and raising his daughter are enough to keep him busy, and he doesn’t need a high-maintenance city girl like his ex who plans to sell her grandma’s ranch and split faster than a setting sun. So why can’t he stop thinking about Charlie and her hot-pink cowboy boots...and the way her eyes say she wants to stay while her lips tease him with plans of leaving?
Just when both start to believe love might be worth the risk...one night will change everything.

Cute story. Charlie is down on her luck, what with the cheating fiancé and being broke. Fortunately, Charlie has inherited her grandmother's farm in Montana, which is almost as far away from NYC as one can get! As Charlie re-evaluates her life, she finds herself drawn to the local vet and his daughter. Will Charlie find her HEA?
This story is well written, with the right balance of angst, cuteness, humor, and bad guys.

There was also so much ridiculousness. For Charlie to have grown up and spent her entire life in New York, and been a successful author, she was so incredibly dense and naive it was painful. She had no sense of self preservation. Maybe it was because I was listening to the audiobook. I understand her being hurt by the situation in New York. She just took everything at face value and never inquired or investigated.
Sophie showed up and Charlie never questioned the identity of her parents or why 14 yo Sophie was roaming so freely and so accepting of a stranger. She just accepted Cash's flirty behavior and free roaming of the house with no sense of trepidation. I can even better understand Sophie, Cash, Zach, etc.'s behavior. Charlie was a city girl through and through. She didn't firmly shut down Wayne, or try to find out from someone with legal experience where she stood.
Her behavior didn't track as being genuine with the person she was described to be. She never contacted an attorney about her inheritance until practically the end of the book. She did not confront her mother with the justifiable anger her mother deserved for 30 years of lies. She had no idea how to deal with the situation at the bar. It was all very strange to me.
I can normally finish a book in a day or two. This book took a few days to get through. I had to stop several times. I finished 2 other audiobook while trying to get through this one. There was a lot going on in this book. I'm just glad it wasn't longer. I don't know what could have been done to pick up the pace of this book. I just think I would have enjoyed it more if it moved faster. I have the next book in the series, but I'm kind of afraid to start it for fear of the same thing happening
