Restless and searching for a purpose and belonging...answers are nowhere to be found.

When Mary Kauffman left the Amish life to explore the Englisch ways, she hadn’t planned on staying for so long. But after meeting a handsome Englischer and falling in love, she was certain this was where she was meant to be. Until one day when her world was turned upside down once she discovers some heart-breaking news. The Englisch world had chewed her up and spit her out in more ways than one.

For years Jared Glick had been praying that the woman he had always loved would return from the Englisch world. He had all but given up on love when one day she returned into their community and back into his life. She was still the same lost soul that had left their community on her rumspringa.

As Mary tries to find out where she belongs and where her future lies, her childhood friend is the one person she knows that she could always rely on. But when feelings begin to develop unexpectedly, Mary finds herself spinning all over again.

Will Mary embrace her Amish roots, or will she escape to the Englisch world for once and for all?

Will Jared have the courage to finally confess his love?

Will Mary find Gott’s purpose for her life and settle into a place where she belongs?

Enjoy this sweet Amish romance that will take you on a journey of love, forgiveness, patience, and most of all reminding you to always trust in the Lord.

If you are looking for a short read or a quick listen as an audiobook with well, developed characters and plot line than this might be the book for you. However, the virtual voice left a lot to be desired. There were mispronunciation mistakes, and in attention to details, for example, when washing the dog who had been sprayed by a skunk they were supposed to use tomato juice, and then the narration changed to tomato sauce… But even with these discrepancies, it’s still a lovely charming story.

Sweet, succinct short story well developed characters.
