Twice Upon a Time in Fairyland

Fairy Tales have sparked interest in readers and writers since days Medieval. Herein is a collection of stories based on well-known tales of faerie. As with the Brothers Grimm, some stories are light and aerie, while others follow a darker path. Draw a chair close to the fire, warmed cider in hand, and let yourself be carried into the realm of fairyland.

The first story is Wolf and the Girl with the Red Cloak. Young Crissy cannot bear the thought of her father’s house and his things being shared with her stepfather, nor her stepsister. When a book of spells finds her, she thinks she has found a way to protect what should be hers. Consumed by greed, she turns to wolves and bloodshed to get her way. Can a traveling wolf hunter bring an end to the curses that have taken hold of the village?

The other story is The Ugly Duckling: A Princess Story. Princess Derylla isn’t just plain, she’s ugly. She doesn’t know it’s all because of a curse. When the one who allowed the curse to happen takes steps to rid the kingdom of Princess Derylla for good, who will stand with her against her enemies?
