My favorite!

I knew once I listened to the prequel that Jacob’s story would be my absolute favorite…and this book did not disappoint! Teddy Hamiltonian really does an amazing job of bringing these guys’ characters to life! The twists, the turns, the spice, the humor…there was not one thing I didn’t love about this book, especially how present the other characters from the previous books were. Can’t wait for Knox’s story!

Seriously love this couple!

I read this book a while ago and when the audiobook went on sale I jumped at it. I absolutely love this dark and HAF sports romance. Second chance at love and exploring all your fantasies over again (because you have amnesia). Sign me up! Age-Gap / Stalker / and lots of darker themes. So please be mindful of triggers.

Honestly, the best thing about this book was the spice 🔥. Having that said, keep in mind that it's totally over the top, and a lot of it is unethical and cringe.

The MMC Jakob, the hero, is totally unhinged, and there's not much to like except the fact that he's good-looking, famous, rich, and fit. Meaning that he's a 100% creepy stalker that does things (ejem) to the FMC Melody WHILE SHE'S ASLEEP (after drugging her).

Anyways, for all of you dark romance fans, this book might be right up your alley. I didn't hate it, but the story wasn't very realistic, and there wasn't much character development. I think what bothered me the most were some of the decisions that Melody made and the way that Jake manipulated her over and over again (so yes, she enabled him). Jakob and Melody have a toxic, codependent relationship, so they are meant for each other, I guess...

Overall, it was an entertaining read. The plot twist at the end was meh imo.

Where's Book 5?!

This series!!! I'm obsessed. Jacob and Melody's story is just as thrilling as the previous books in the series. The twists and turns?! I was very surprised. I wish I could read this one again for the first time. I love that S. Massery put this series on Audible AND she chose good narrators.
