Great narrator paired with a fantastic author

Narrator was pleasant and believable. No odd breathing or pauses. Eloisa James is an instant buy for me.

Interesting plot and extension of the characters for others reads in the future!

Liked the characters fleshed out and they picked good plot twists with interesting stories very readable

Excited for Devin’s story

I want to like Daisy, I really do. But despite how intelligent and logical the author wants me to believe she is, she contradicts it. The misunderstanding that happens mid-book is so ridiculous.
It’s beyond obvious Miles believes Daisy is the mother of the baby, his words make it abundantly clear, but Daisy, a complete nitwit, misses his assumption over and over again. He in fact, referencing her birthing a child four times! It’s so ridiculous she never says she’s not the mother, it makes enjoying the book very difficult. Then the author says over and over “she couldn’t think straight”— more like she doesn’t think at all. She’s an idiot. Even when the man is marrying her, she doesn’t tell him. It’s so stupid it veers into unbelievabilty.
