Love might be closer than you think....

Gemma isn't sure what upsets her more. The fact she just caught her boyfriend cheating, or that he did it on her brand-new Heal's cushions.

All she knows is she needs to put as many miles between her and Fraser as humanly possible. So, when her best friend suggests a restorative few days in the West Country, it seems like the perfect solution.

That is, until the country enters a national lockdown that leaves her stranded. All she has for company is her dog, Mabel. And the mysterious (and handsome!) stranger living at the bottom of her garden....

Packed full of laugh-out-loud moments, this is a hugely uplifting, feel-good and sparkling romantic comedy.

Perfect for fans of Mhairi McFarlane, Sophie Kinsella, Beth O'Leary and Laura Jane Williams.

The scenery and memories of a beloved aunt really made this a little extra sweet. And the dog Mabel ... more than a character.

Would love a series about this cozy little couple and this cozy little town.

Lovely little romance in the pandemic

Awww this was such a beautiful story. Loved the ending :)
I also loved the characters, the progress, the sow burn and all the COVID-19 references and it being the background of the story. For me, the story got better and better as it progressed. I wasn’t sure it was going to be my cup of tea at one point (thought it was going to be just another one of those books I’ve already read the likes of and got very tired of) but it was very unique and special for the times.
As for the narrator - I LOVED her. She was brilliant and made the story even better.
Happy reading! :)

Highly Recommended
