Engaging writing

I enjoy this series very much. However, the last few books have had recipes read during the narration which I have never been a fan of listening to. I do forward through them when I can.

Vicki does it again!

As sad as I was for Joe and Vicki to leave Spain, I understood their why. She has a wonderful way of describing her surroundings and a knack for telling her stories and her sense of humor is delightful. I've loved following their adventures through all of her books and I hope, even though life looks a bit different now she continues to write her tales.

Love the narrative of their life experiences, but what’s up with the recipes? The audio version should definitely skip that! It’s not advertised as a cookbook, and I find the recipes at the end of each chapter annoying as I listen while I’m driving!
