Marriage? It can be absolute murder

Superstar celebrity wedding planner, Felicity Philips has an event to run on a private island this weekend. With a stunning landscape as their backdrop and an architectural masterpiece for their venue, it's the perfect setting...for a murder.

After the nightmare of last weekend...oh, and the one before that, Felicity was hoping for things to run smoothly. However, an unpredicted storm cuts them off from the mainland before all the guests and staff can arrive.

That’s a big enough problem for a person trying to impress a prince. But when a guest is found hanging from the rafters, it becomes clear there is a killer in their midst.

Can Felicity employ Buster the bulldog and Amber the cat to help her again?

Aided by her loyal assistant, AKA her ninja niece, Mindy, the team of four have no choice but to solve their way out of this one.

Steve Higgs stories are a very fun listen. Especially w/ the narrator of the Felicity Philips books 1-5. This narrator does a great job bringing the story to life. Book 6 starts with a machine narrator. Not worth listening too, unfortunately. Machine narration is pretty awful. The Albert Smith series is fun, and the narrator is pretty good. The Patricia Somebody series is the same kind of fun, but the narrator is not great. Steve Higgs is a very enjoyable author who would be well served by more talented narrators. With the exception of the narrator of Felicity Philips books 1-5 who is very good.

Tying the Noose is #2 in the Felicity Philips Investigates series by Steve Higgs. A remote island in a storm is the venue for high profile celebrity wedding, but it seems a more perfect venue for a serial killer. Once again, Felicity, her niece and her “talking” cat and dog are in the midst of the mayhem. A very good who-done-it with an fun and quirky cast of characters. The narration by Katherine Anderson is superb! She has the talent to create unique voices for the characters that fit their personalities and bring them to life. Her performance enhances the enjoyment of the story. Highly recommended!

Another fun mystery for the animals to figure out, while the humans stumble through. Well paced, distinguishable characters, a fun local for a murder and the narrator keeps on point with all of the characters flawlessly. I appreciate that the author let's the reader figure out the mystery along with the animals, before Felicity catches on. A lot of death in this one though, I'd hate to be a guest at that wedding. 😁😅

Amber deserves that poached mackerel!

Felicity has a wedding to plan. It’s on a private island. A sudden storm seems to have cut them off from the mainland. And then somebody is found dead. Soon Felicity and her niece Mindy are investigating another murder. And Felicity’s dog and cat are helping again. There were fun characters and lots of animal antics in this story. And a murder mystery to solve. I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the narration.
