If you’ve met me, you know I make friends easily, but if you know me, you know I study influence… and Robin Dreeke is on my Mt Rushmore of mentors on it.

This book lives up to his monumental standards.

Evolving his framework for building trust as a Russian spy catcher, this book goes beyond persuasion and influence, into inspiration-

The core skill set you need to build get people to align under a goal.

A couple gems:

- you need to go beyond influence and persuasion, and understand inspiration to create great partnerships
- the opposite of fear isn’t courage, it’s curiosity
- storytelling tools like Park Howell’s ABT as crucial tools to gain alignment
- how mastery creates trust and how to achieve it

If you believe, like I do, that partnerships, community, and movement building are the modern playbook for go to market…

And you want to get better at these skills..

This book belongs on your shelf and in your Audible.

I bought 10 of these as gifts to clients and partners this year.

This is very generic direction to be a reliable consistent and open minded person. A few stories are shared but they are still very generic. Sorry there is no new info here. I will go read the other books he recommends that have more detail on what he says everyone needs to be doing.

Robin’s book is masterful. He takes his own work in trust and relationships and blends that with other masters of the human discipline. This book is essential for leaders who want to reliably find the path to getting things done.

A lot of great lists

written from a perspective of expertise, difficult to listen to, constantly requiring you to decode what the overall message is. maybe a fine book in print. not an easy one for a listen

lot of repeated jargon
