Gulf War veteran and out of work longshoreman Tommy Riolo wanted nothing more than to have a stable family life and a job where he didn’t have to worry about money ever again. Trying to pursue his dream, he and his two best friends take a loan from a mobster and open a pizzeria on the dilapidated Asbury Park Boardwalk. Meanwhile, the American Mafia is dying, and for years the boss of a small New Jersey crime Family has sought to turn his criminal enterprise into a legitimate business along with one of his steadfast capos. In Tommy, he finds the perfect man to help him do it. Even after becoming a made- man and then a legitimate business owner alongside his closest friends, marrying the woman of his dreams and starting a family, however, Tommy finds it difficult to escape his brutally abusive childhood and live a normal life in this tale of love, greed, faith, family, lust, joy and sorrow on the Jersey shore.
