A photography book discussing various techniques of photographing moments of destruction including wiring diagrams and full instructions on how to do so. The book starts with a description of basic methods of switching the flash for high speed photography and progresses to triggering a 30 000 volt spark with an ignition coil connected to the flash. An extensive chapter on using a sound activated flash trigger for high speed water balloons and smashing light bulb images follows. After that is a chapter on wiring up a high powered silicon controlled rectifier to explode a piece of wire for special effects photography. Finally the Trigatron is discussed, a device used for switching very high currents, and instructions are shown for making and wiring up a Trigatron to the camera flash switching circuit for explosive photography.
