Clint needed an escape from his hectic 10 to 12 hour-a-day job and almost non-existent social life. Mary, his only friend and game store employee, suggests he try a new Virtual Reality MMORPG, Unexplored. At first, he’s hesitant. He has enough crap going on in his life. He doesn’t need something else to bog him down. However, the mounting pressure of his hectic life has him looking for an afternoon of escape.

Clint spawns in the game as Cleave, a helpless elf with minimal fighting ability and no skills. Feeling the similarities between this game and his real life, he’s about to leave when he chances upon another player, a Kobold named Tarka. Along with Krug the Thud, a half-giant warrior, they enter the Wilderwood.

Throughout their adventures, they meet unique friends and have harrowing adventures. When the group comes across a powerful player’s guild bent upon the destruction of a peaceful community of dryads, they must come together with their new friends to stop the dryads from meeting a bloody end.

As Clint travels through the land of Unexplored, he wonders if he and his friends can make their mark in a world as merciless and unforgiving as his own.

This has been one of the better litrpg' s I have listened to ( not just wish fulfilment, and it has actual character development). Which surprised me because it has several erotic scenes in it. But the sex scenes didn't overwhelm the storyline and felt right in the story. Looking forward to the next book.

Pleasantly surprised by this book.

I can't tell if it the narrator or the story but the erotic scenes to clinical in details .

Narrator actually is fairly decent and is someone you could enjoy on a nature documentary, not so much for a litrpg.

His vocal range for the characters is limited and subtracts from the book, but does well enough to keep you listening.

Features furries, mild bdsm,

Needless and constant wordplay to describe the same "intimate scenes" that takes away from and drawls out the scenes, best to leave "something" to the imagination.

Pointless and wasted wording here and there that feels a bit like fluffing word count

overall i enjoyed the book enough that i would listen to pass the time in between others series.

Not as bad as some reviews indicate

You ever read or listened to a story that the author just didn't seem to know enough words?
There are alot of examples from the mundane to the sex scenes. Alot of "he stretched his neck, then moved his neck" type of double uses for some reason.

Using the descriptor of "Swampy" multiple times in an erotic scene is crazy, but at one point that's rather jarring the word "Dickhead" is used to describe the tip of a penis.

The excerpt from the next book made me laugh because the new narrator is basically Microsoft Sam.

I would avoid, the comedy in the book made me wince every time rather than laugh or smile.

Saying it feels written by AI would be a disservice to AI

Ok in honesty there’s a warning of sexual content. I got the book anyway. Big mistake. Too much too graphic and too beastial. I love Lit RPG this series I won’t follow. I wish I had my credit back. The story doesn’t live up to its initial promise. The author should be embarrassed. Warning to Christians and peoples of faith. This isn’t for you. I hope audible has a way to make sure children can’t access this authors work. It’s a legal mess in the making.

Too much deviant sex
