From a New York Times bestselling author, chief medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta works to solve the baffling case of two mauled bodies in the woods and the mysteriously large footprint found nearby.

SCARPETTA, based on the character Dr. Kay Scarpetta, is soon to be a streaming series starring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis.

In this thrilling installment of the Scarpetta series, chief medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta finds herself in a Northern Virginia wilderness examining the remains of two campers wanted by federal law enforcement.

I usually love the Scarpetta novels but this one was a lot of book for a resolution in about 2 pages. It felt like the author just needed to get another book out and this is what we got. And unless there is a tie in for a later novel, it just felt like she didn't have enough pages so threw in the Sasquatch aspect to fill time. Weird and felt totally unnecessary. Not Cornwall's best by far.

A lot of book for not a lot of story

what more can I say? I own almost every Scarpetta hard copy and Audible version. As always, January LaVoy was fantastic as Kay Scarpetta. However, I have to agree with many reviews stating that it is almost more of a cookbook than anything else. the story did not come together at all and I was very surprised at the "seven days later," point. As disappointing as it might be, I think it os time to lay our beloved Dr. Scarpetta series to rest....

Great narrator, worst Scarpetta book so far

I really enjoyed hearing more from Benton and how he was at Kay’s side more!

All of it!

I was disappointed for the first time by this Scarpetta novel. The narration was excellent, and the story line interesting, but it ended too abruptly! There were a number of unanswered questions, and I expected at least another hour to adequately wrap things up. Bummer.

Not her best
