After what seemed like a lifetime of moving from one foster care facility to the next, little Ms. Independent Stacey Ashe is hell bent on acquiring a stable life. She feels growing up without her mother, and not knowing who her father is, makes her less of a person. So when she lands a job with the Aspiring Hall Foundation, one of the top charity providers in the country, she feels she’s on her way to laying down some roots and perhaps even becoming worthy of the love of her boss's son. Never been one to pursue after women, Chase found himself doing just that. Stacey walked into his life and everything else seemed to fade into the shadows. His love for her burned hot and fast and he could tell that she felt the same way. Now, if he could only convince her of it. Deep rooted fears that belie Stacey’s independent exterior threatens to bury their chances of love before Chase can guide her to it.
