INSPIRED BY ACTUAL EVENTS

In 2001, three hikers vanished without a trace in the tundra of the Alaska Triangle. None of their possessions were ever recovered. The case continues to be an unsolved mystery.

"The descriptions are so trippy, I felt I was there! I've never read anything like it," - John H.
"This author does great horror, but I think she should write more of sci-fi. Incredible," - Sandra M.
"Interesting theory on vanishings. Made me think," - The Dark Screen Pages

SUMMARY-
When Jane, Derek, and Zach set out on what is meant to be a simple road trip through the remote Alaskan wilderness, they have no idea that their lives are about to spiral into a nightmare. For Jane, it is about closure. A year earlier, Jane’s younger brother, Ben, had vanished without a trace during a research expedition deep in what locals ominously call the "Alaska Triangle"—a mysterious region bounded roughly by Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau, infamous for unexplained disappearances, bizarre weather anomalies, and eerie silence on the radio waves. Despite extensive search efforts by rescue teams, dog units, and even drones equipped with thermal imaging, no body, gear, or clues were ever found. It was as if the frozen land had swallowed him whole, leaving behind only unanswered questions and a gaping wound in Jane’s heart.
Against Derek’s cautious advice and Zach’s attempts to lighten the mood with jokes, Jane insists on diverting from their original route. “There’s something out there,” she says, her voice tight with emotion. “I feel it. Maybe the search teams missed something—a footprint, a torn piece of clothing, anything. I just need to see it for myself.” Reluctantly, the group agrees, and they head north into the desolate tundra, where the landscape stretches endlessly in shades of gray, white, and dull gold beneath a brooding sky.
As they venture deeper, the world grows unnaturally still.
They start to notice things that can’t be explained—their footprints disappearing behind them, supplies going missing only to reappear in strange places, and a chilling sensation of being followed by something that leaves no tracks.
The line between reality and hallucination thins. The tundra, it seems, is not just a place of physical danger.
it’s alive. Hungry. Conscious.
It guards its secrets fiercely, and those who enter its domain rarely return the same—if they return at all.

VANISHED is a testament to the indomitable strength of the human spirit, a flame that refuses to be snuffed out by darkness. At its core are ordinary individuals, the ones who choose not to submit to the dire circumstances, but to rise to a possibility. In this story, hope is both the battleground and the victory, a reminder that to endure and strive is already to triumph... (The Author)
