Once there, the vampire detective learns the real reason Kingsley’s client has been charged with murder—a reason that forces Sam to switch gears completely...and sets off to New Orleans.

While Mary Lou and Rick entertain the children with the sights, sounds, and tastes of the gorgeous city, Sam meets and collaborates with the leaders of the entire New Orleans supernatural community to stop a deadly threat.

Together, the forces of magic and nature will have to bring a powerful sea goddess to heel or watch helplessly as she lays seige to their beloved city on the bayou.
