Instead, the celebration stops cold when a body is discovered beneath a decorative trellis before the fair even begins.

With her clever cat Winston uncovering clues and Detective Mark Cooper reluctantly beginning to trust her instincts, Iris starts digging into the town’s secrets. What she finds is a tangled web of old grudges, buried decisions, and carefully protected reputations.

As the list of suspects grows and tensions spread through Cedar Grove, Iris realizes the murder may be tied to a vendetta years in the making.
